15-16 Jun (Sat-Sun): Cicada Tree Eco-Place Family Camp

Cicada Tree Eco-Place's annual Ubin Family Nature Camp is back again! Held from 15 - 16 June 2019, retreat from the bustling Singapore main island and spend some quality time with your family, working together to pitch tents and immersing in the Ubin spirit and environment.

This is an overnight camp where participants will stay over at the Ubin Living Lab, courtesy of NParks. Some exciting highlights of the camp include guided walks on the island, with everyone’s favourite night walk to spot nocturnal creatures, led by a friendly guide, Andrew Tay, and a fun movement-based session focussing on breath and body awareness, led by Bala, who is a 300 hours yoga teacher. This camp is suitable for kids above the age of 5.

This lovely island of Pulau Ubin is still home to incredible biodiversity. The natural habitats here are diverse, from mangrove and coastal forests, rocky seashore, inter-tidal mudflat, seagrass meadow, to grassland, secondary forest, old plantations, rural kampong food-gardens and fruit orchards. Wildlife living here include the pangolin, mousedeer, wild pig, musang, dugong, and numerous species of reptiles, amphibians, birds and other critters. Apart from its amazing wild places and wildlife, Pulau Ubin’s kampong culture and lifestyle is fun to experience, where villagers are still living off the grid.
